One of the leading contestants for the office of the governor of Nasarawa State in 2027 general elections, Barr. Isaac Y. Adams, has paid a courtesy visit to Esu Karu, His Royal Highness, Pharm. Luka Dr. Panya Baba.
Speaking during the visit, Barr. Adams said, he was in the palace of the paramount ruler to formally inform him of his intention to contest for the office of the governor of Nasarawa State in 2027 polls.
The governorship hopeful added that having possessed the needed experience in the area of good governance, he decided to offer himself to the people of the state to elect him as their next governor.
The Ahmadu Belllo University trained lawyer, told the paramount ruler that Nasarawa State is so blessed with abundant mineral resources and its proximity to the nation’s capital, has provided a unique opportunity for the development of the state and the general wellbeing of the people. But added that, all that can be achieved if only a competent leader is taken over from the outgoing governor.
He therefore, sort the support of the royal father as well as royal blessing in order to fulfil the dream.
He said, “I have come here to formally inform His Royal Highness of my intention to contest for the office of the governor of Nasarawa State, as well as to sort for father’s blessing.”
Responding, His Royal Highness Pharm. Luka Dr. Panya Baba said, he was happy with the honour the aspirant has accorded him. According to him, the number of aspirants coming out from the zone where the ruling party (APC) zoned the next governor to, is an indication that democracy is growing and the electorates have options to pick the best.
The royal father showered encomium on the aspirant especially the area of his youthfulness and intellectual capacity, while advising him to always be humble especially when God grants him victory at the poll.
He said, “I’m very happy for two things about you – one is your age and the one is the level of your intelligent. As you move around, be humble, and if by God’s grace you get to the position, remain humble.” The royal father blessed him and wished him a good outing.
Barr. Isaac Y. Adams is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is vying for the office of the governor of Nasarawa State in 2027 polls under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
