The President/Chief Executive Officer of Tito Group of Companies, Chief Isaac Akinkunmi, has underscored the company’s commitment to worker welfare, declaring that no business can thrive without its workforce.
Speaking during a workers’ appreciation event on Friday night to mark 2026 Workers’ Day, Akinkunmi said the company places high value on its over 320 employees, noting that their dedication remains the backbone of production across its branches nationwide.
“No workers, no production; no production, no business,” he said, stressing that staff are critical stakeholders in the company’s growth.
He added that Tito Group guarantees job security for its employees, provided they uphold integrity and avoid misconduct, particularly theft.
According to him, the management operates a merit-based promotion system that rewards diligence and commitment.
The event featured the presentation of awards to long-serving and outstanding staff, with years of service forming a major criterion for recognition.
The star prize, a Toyota Civic air-conditioned car to be maintained by the company, was awarded to Mrs Victoria Ogede for her 36 years of service.
Employees who have served between 10 and 15 years received N10,000 each, while those in the 16 to 20-year category got N20,000.
Staff with 21 to 30 years of service were rewarded with N50,000, while those who have spent over 31 years also received appropriate rewards.
In addition, most valuable workers were given N30,000 each, while other staff are expected to benefit from monthly incentives ranging from N50,000 to N150,000 for the rest of 2026.
In her remarks, Ogede expressed gratitude to the management, describing Tito Group as a family that provided her with an enabling environment to grow.
She recalled joining the company shortly after completing secondary school, having relocated to Makurdi as a teenager in 1990, and said the organisation had remained a place of fulfilment throughout her career.
