Real Madrid new coach José Mourinho has acknowledged the quality of Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal but ruled out any possibility of attempting to sign the highly rated youngster.
Mourinho was asked about Yamal and described the Barcelona star as “a very good player”, while making it clear that he has no intention of pursuing a deal for the player.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese coach said on X on Thursday: “I won’t sign him. We already have the best players.”
Yamal has continued to attract attention as one of the most promising young players in world football, with his performances for Barcelona earning widespread praise.
Despite his impressive performance and growing reputation, Mourinho indicated that he is satisfied with the quality available to him and sees no reason to strengthen his squad by pursuing the Barcelona winger.
His comments also reflect his confidence in the players already at his disposal as Real Madrid seek to compete at the highest level.
