Ogugu State Constituency is one of the recently restored constituencies by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.
This increased the number of those that would be representing the Local Government Area (Olamaboro) in Kogi State Assembly to 2.
A leading contestant for this newly restored State constituency under the platform of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), is Salifu Oguche Usman, Esq. A civil/human rights activist, social crusader as well as a politician.
The young trained lawyer, whom many refer to as a grassroots politician, though born in Lagos, but raised in Ogugu Community where he had his early education.
