The Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) has called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders in the digital ecosystem to accelerate broadband penetration and transform Benue State into a 21st-century digital hub.

Chief Technical Officer of BDIC, Engr. Teryima Akaade, speaking at the First Benue Telecommunication Stakeholders’ Summit on Fibre Network Investment, Right of Way, Processing, and Infrastructure Management yesterday in Makurdi, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing reliable and cutting-edge digital infrastructure that drives innovation, improves service delivery, and empowers citizens.

He expressed optimism that the summit’s resolutions would expand broadband access, foster digital inclusion, and position Benue for sustainable growth through innovation and strategic partnerships.

Representatives from key government agencies, including the Benue State Urban Development Board and the Benue Investment Promotion Agency (BENIPA), pledged their support for an enabling environment that encourages telecommunication investments and removes bureaucratic barriers.

Other participants at the summit agreed that addressing challenges related to broadband deployment, right of way (RoW) processes, and infrastructure protection requires multi-sector collaboration and harmonised policies to unlock Benue’s full digital potential.

Executive Secretary of the Benue Investment Promotion Agency (BENIPA), Dr. Johnpaul Kpenkaan, on his part emphasised the need for all stakeholders to work in synergy to drive an all-inclusive ecosystem and make Benue an investment destination.
