Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Dr Paul Enenche, has urged all tiers of government in Nigeria to take responsibility for governance by prioritising the security of lives and property.
Dr Enenche made the call in Makurdi on Friday while addressing journalists during his visit to the North-Central Regional Convention of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International (FGBMFI) and the DIGC Apostolic Invasion.
He described insecurity as a major national challenge and warned that government cannot afford to shirk its duty of protecting citizens.
“At this time of insecurity in the land, my message is threefold: first, we must trust God to help in our insecurity situation; second, governments at all levels must take responsibility and do the basic business of governance, which is the security of lives and property; and third, citizens must remain vigilant and play their role in defending themselves and their land,” he said.
The cleric further noted that Nigeria was in a difficult season, stressing the need for urgent action from both leaders and citizens to avert worsening conditions.
