Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Benue South, Abba Moro, has refuted online reports claiming he is planning to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Moro described the speculation as “ridiculous,” insisting that he has held no discussions with anyone about leaving the party.

In a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun John, the senator reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP, noting that as a founding member, he remains committed to its ideals and values.

He acknowledged the party’s current internal challenges but expressed confidence that they would be resolved through established mechanisms.

Moro urged the public to disregard the rumours, which he attributed to “mischief makers concerned about the PDP’s ability to emerge stronger and more competitive.”

He further appealed to PDP members across the country to remain steadfast and continue working toward rebuilding the party’s winning strength.
