FCT Council Polls: Hon. Barr. Mathew Danjuma Yare Will Win – Nyanya Voters

As the February 21 FCT Council elections draws closer, a cross section of voters from Nyanya Ward in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC); said they have settled for the re-election of the Councillor representing the ward, who also  the Speaker of AMAC; Hon. Barr. Matthew Danjuma Yare, because according to them, he has performed very well.

Hon. Danjuma is seeking for re-election in the February 21 FCT Council polls under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the electorates, Hon. Matthew Danjuma, is an achiever and has performed more than all the councilors the Ward (Nyanya) has produced since 1999; therefore, they have made up their minds to return him.

Speaking to our reporters, a youth leader from the ward, who doesn’t want to be named said, the AMAC Speaker has made his re-election very easy as his achievements are seen by everybody.

He added that Barr. Mathew has proven that there are Nigerian youths that can be trusted in leadership position. He asked his competitors to tell the voters what they have for them instead of resorting to tearing his campaign posters and blackmail.

He said, “Hon. Matthew Danjuma has done very well. Let his competitors tell the electorates what they have to offer, instead of resorting to tearing his posters and blackmail.”

He advised the speaker’s opponents to desist from tearing of his poster and blackmail. And the same time, charged them to do more work in order to convince the electorates in future elections, because as it stands today, they can’t defeat him in the next week polls, he said.

“Let his opponents do more work to convince the electorates so that they can vote for them in future elections. As it stands today, they can’t defeat the young man in the next weekend polls, Nyanya electorates are strongly behind him, and by God’s grace; he will win.”

Also, speaking to our reporter, Ahmed Otaru said, is yet to see who can defeat Barr. Matthew Danjuma in the forthcoming FCT elections. According to him, the speaker has performed very well, and the people have decided to return him because of his track record.

“The young man has done very well; and we will vote for him to continue the good work, he will win with wide margin.

Another Nyanya resident, Princess Mercy Attah, said, Hon. Danjuma has brought hope to the residents of Nyanya Ward. According to her, apart from performance, the speaker is an easy going young man, and gives people easy access to see him.

Her words: “Hon. Mathew, apart from performance as a legislator, is a good man. He is not a type of politicians that shut their doors against voters when they get to power. He operates open door policy by giving people easy access to meet him, very humble and God-fearing young man.

“For me, I don’t know any other person that is contesting than him. I will vote for him and I’m sure many people will also vote for him; he will win,” she said.

The speaker of AMAC, Hon. Barr. Matthew Danjuma Yare popularity has continued to rise because of his performance as a legislator in the area of roads construction/rehabilitation, human capital development, empowerment and philanthropy. The politician has also gathered thousands of supporters because of what they described as “his high level of humility and godliness.”

The Speaker of AMAC, Hon. Barr. Matthew Yare Danjuma, has facilitated the construction/rehabilitation of many byroads in Nyanya Ward, as well as empowering thousands of people.
