Ex-CJN Mohammed Uwais, is dead

Former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Mohammed Lawal Uwais is dead.
He was 89.
Uwais who was CJN from 1995 to 2006 died in Abuja on Friday, a family source said.
The source said arrangements were in top gear for his funeral and burial.
The former CJN who was born on June 12, 1936 chaired the electoral reform commission established by the late president Umar Ya’radua that submitted recommended critical reforms in Nigeria’s electoral system in 2008.
