The Founder/General Overseer of Global Kingdom Church International, Abuja; Dr. Isaac Yakubu Adams, has indicated interest to contest for Nasarawa State governor in 2027 general elections.
Dr. Adams, a trained lawyer and successful entrepreneur is contesting under the platform of the ruling party – All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dr. Adams, whom many describe as a beacon of hope, has been a rally point to the less-privileged and vulnerable Nigerians, through his selfless philanthropy.
His generosity has touched many lives, from funding people’s education and outright scholarship to many young Nigerians. With a heart of gold, Barr. Adams has empowered thousands of young Nigerians, and given succour to hundreds vulnerable citizens.
His life style of dedication to charity, has proven that with a good heart, our society can be a better place of peace and harmony.
The Ahmadu Bello University trained lawyer, has raised the bar in the area of philanthropy. For instance, during the Covid-19 that plunged the entire world into economic quagmire, Dr. Adams spent millions of naira to cushion the impact by buying rice and other food stuffs to the less-privileged citizens. He has also doled out millions of naira to people to start various businesses.
A part from money, he had also given out many cars as gifts as well as landed property to others. Dr. Adams largesse are too numerous to count.
Dr. Adams teaches people especially youths, practically ways to make genuine money. That is to say, he does not only give people fish, but also teach them how to fish.
He said, “I believe so much in human capital development. I need to invest in the lives of our youths for their betterment and that of our nation – Nigeria. This is because, they are the future of our nation.
“So, if you don’t develop people, especially the youths by investing in them, is a big error; and the outcome could be disastrous.
“It was against this backdrop that I want to contest for the office of the governor of my state – Nasarawa. This, of course, would provide an opportunity for me to touch more lives in a larger scale.”
Speaking with our correspondent from his home state, (Nasarawa), an APC chieftain, who doesn’t want to be named said, “Dr. Adams is very competent for the job; he is a successful business man and loves humanity. He is a young man that doesn’t want to see people hungry around him.
“Look at what is doing along checkpoint/boundary road as well as the other bypass roads, he has been using his personal money, running into millions, to fix those roads. This is the kind of people that we’re looking for.
“He has the capacity to take over from the outgoing governor and is going to do well. I’m very happy he has joined the race, and we are going to support him.”
The philanthropist has spent a lot of money to fix bypass roads within the axis of checkpoint/boundary road, Phase IV, Nyanya Abuja.
In his ancestral home of Nasarawa, the story is the same – the philanthropist has touched many lives. This, his kinsmen said, “His desire to vie for the office of the governor is a welcome development and we are fully behind him.”
