The Abuja International Trade Fair Centre was agog with both Local and International Exhibitor in different types of agricultural products and machineries to added value to the 7th Edition of Agribusiness 2025.
One of the organizers of the exhibition and a prominent key players in the industry, Amb. Abiodun Olaniyi, has earlier expressed his pleasure of the number of Exhibitors in this year’s Agriculture Expo. He made the disclosure during his interactions with some Journalists who met him at the end of day one of the Agric Expo trade Fair in Abuja. He expressed his satisfaction of level of attendance and innovations both nationally and internationally.
According to him, ” this the type of things we wish to continue to encourage both local and foreign investors and partners in Agriculture.”
Amb. Olaniyi believes that the 7th Edition of the Expo was highly organized, coordinated in terms of numbers of booths, and both in foreign and local participation. He said that the huge presence of many Chinese, Indian and Indonesia companies were testament that the Expo is gaining momentum and deserved international recognition.
He elaborated more on since the inception of the Expo, this is the first time a large contingent from Borno State and permanent Secretary from Niger State team graced the occasion to enable them gain more knowledge to improve on what they already have on ground.
When asked about low government involvement the Expo he said, “Their absence from the Expo will not pull down the spirit of the aims and objectives of the goal. Although letter of invitations were sent to them, and if they could not come, good and fine. But they, the organizers of this event will continue to push ahead and work assiduously together with immediate private partners to keep them Expo going.”
He reminded that if publics keep waiting for the government, progress may slow, but let them make good enabling environment for private sectors to thrive. He said, “for some foreigners to be part of the Expo, it means that we achieving our aim for the expo.”
Amb Olaniyi, however, hinted that, few government officials were present, like the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development, who represented Hon. Minister; President, Poultry Farmers FCT, and the Director General of National Institute Cereal Crop Research, were there to share their experiences and expectations.
Amb. Olaniyi however, promised to review the outcome of the Expo to enable them plan for better, deeper involvement of Government to achieve better results.
He said that outcome of this Expo will enable them plan for next year own, in term of rule of engagement and networking. He added that, “We are going to be more innovative to add to the experience we have gathered on ground.”
Over fifty Exhibitors both local and foreign are currently showcasing their products and machines.
