Senate Minority Leader and senator representing Benue South, Comrade Abba Moro, has been honoured with the Nigeria’s Democratic Leader of the Year award at the Nigeria Golden Hearts Awards International 2025 in the United Kingdom.

The award ceremony, which also featured the unveiling of Profile Magazine 9th edition, took place on Sunday at the Hilton Leeds City Hotel, Leeds City Centre.

Presenting the award, CEO of the organization, Festus Odunze, described Moro as an outstanding humanitarian and goodwill ambassador who has distinguished himself through quality leadership, legislative activities, and impactful constituency projects.

In his remarks, Moro expressed gratitude for the recognition, stressing that his involvement in politics is not for personal gain but to serve his people and Nigeria at large.

He assured the organisers and his constituents that he would remain committed to delivering on his mandate.

Other recipients at the event included Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti; immediate past Mayor of Leeds, Hon. Abigail Marshall Katung; and Chief George Ali, former chairman of Otukpo LGA and senior legislative aide to the Senate President, among others.
