The Vice Chairman PDP South East, Hon Chidiebere Goodluck has admonished the leadership of the People Democratic Party, PDP and its founding fathers to try and put their house in order for them to be a party to be reckoned with come 2027 general elections.
Hon. Chidiebere stated this during a PDP founding fathers conference in Abuja to chart away forward especially now that they are faced with leadership challenges.
He said. “The ability of the leaders and leadership to call its members to order to settle differences would help in bringing the party to its original status as the biggest party in Africa.”
He sounded optimistic that founding fathers and current leadership of the party deemed it necessary to re unite the party members from all cardre and re market the party to the grassroots, reminding them that every politics is played locally. He urged People Democratic Party to make every frantic effort to rebuild its house especially the South East region of the country.
Speaking further, he warned that a situation where by members will not abide or follow the constitution of the party will spill doom for the party. Where impunity, disrespect to rule of law and order as enshrined it constitution cannot solve the problem of the party. Until those who don’t obey the constitution are punished, the party cannot stand on it foot again.
According to the Vice Chairman South East, he frowned at some selfish and unscrupulous individuals and group individuals who never meant well for the party. He gave a firm assurance to party leadership and founding fathers that they need to be resolute and determined to fight very hard especially the South East to make sure the party is revived back to what PDD was known for. He charged the party leaders to come out with nice policies, ideas that will make Nigerians have confidence bon PDP again.
The Hon. therefore, concluded by berating the All Progressives Congress, APC for plunging the country to abject poverty and bringing pains, suffering to the people of Nigeria.
