Legislative Bye-Election: Bravo Chairs 5-Man APC Delegate Congress Committee For Onitsha North State Constituency

Ahead of legislative bye-election in 2025, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has appointed Hon. Gabriel Bravo Oluohu, as chairman of a five-man Delegate Congress Committee for Onitsha North State Constituency in Anambra State.

This was contained in a letter signed by the National Organising Secretary, H.E. Alhaji Sulaiman-Muhammad Argungu, which was addressed to the State Chairman of APC Anambra State, Hon. Basil Ejidike. This followed the National Working Committee (NWC) approved schedule of activities and time-table for the 2025 Legislative Bye-Election.

Other members of the committee include, Amina Abdulazeez, Dr Umar Yakassai, Chukwuemeka Alohu and Hon Ejogbamu J. Okoro serves as secretary.

The letter reads in part, “The National Secretariat has constituted the Delegate Congress Committee, Delegate Congress Appeal Committee with its secretariat (Please find list attached) for the purpose of conducting the Congress of Delegates in Anambra State.

“Notice is hereby given to the State Chapter of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the scheduled arrival and conduct of the Delegate Congress…”

This latest assignment from the party is coming few days after Hon. Bravo was appointed to the party’s Screening Appeal Committee for the 2025 House of Representatives primary elections to review appeals from candidates in five Federal Constituencies of Jigawa, Ogun, Kaduna, Edo and Oyo states.

Bravo is respected for his benevolent work and robust track record in public service. His appointment to this important five-member committee is based on his experience and success in managing party primaries over the years.

Hon Bravo is a grassroots politician based in the Federal Capital Territory and the political leader in his Igbekurikor community of Cross River State.

He is the immediate past Supervisory Councillor for Finance, Budget and Investment in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). He has also served as Special Adviser and Supervisory Councillor for Education, Sports, Health and Environment in AMAC.
