Senate Minority Leader and representative of Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, has denied involvement in any political coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a constituency briefing in Otukpo, where he presented his six-year scorecard, Senator Moro reaffirmed his allegiance to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), distancing himself from any alliances promoted by individuals or external groups.
He said, “I want to state unequivocally that I am not in any political coalition with anyone or group. Those in coalitions have their reasons. For us in the PDP, any future coalition must be driven by the party, not individuals.”
The senator noted that he and his PDP colleagues had earlier addressed the media to clarify their stance and dismiss speculation about their alleged involvement in new political realignments.
Moro, a former Minister of Interior, showcased his achievements across key sectors such as education, healthcare, rural electrification, water supply, roads and bridges, and empowerment initiatives.
He emphasised that his constituency briefing was a demonstration of his commitment to accountability and transparency.
“Today, I’m not here seeking validation or applause,” he said.
Moro added, “I am here because you deserve to know what I’ve done as your representative. I may not be perfect, but I remain committed to being your voice and delivering meaningful development.”
State Chairman of PDP, Chief Ezekiel Adaji, hailed the senator’s performance, describing it as a justification of the trust reposed in him during the 2019 and 2023 elections.
Also, a former Benue APC Chairman, Comrade Abba Yaro, also commended Moro, calling him “a bridge builder” and “the first politician in Benue to unite all political parties under one roof.”
