The Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor, Tersoo Kula, has said Governor Hyacinth Alia is transforming the state’s education sector through strategic investments in primary and secondary schools.
Kula spoke during a courtesy visit to the Benue State Correspondents Chapel of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) office in Makurdi, where he highlighted ongoing upgrades in public schools as part of the administration’s broader development agenda.
According to him, the rehabilitation of school infrastructure and improved learning environments reflect the governor’s commitment to securing the future of Benue children.
He noted that beyond education, the administration has recorded progress in road construction, drainage projects to tackle flooding, commerce and industry through the revitalisation of the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), as well as in security and healthcare.
Kula commended members of the Correspondents Chapel for their professionalism and balanced reportage, describing the media as key partners in informing the public about government programmes.
He called for sustained collaboration between the government and the media to ensure citizens are adequately informed about ongoing reforms, particularly in the education sector.
Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Emmanuel Antswen, appreciated the governor’s support for the media and assured that journalists would continue to report on the administration’s policies and achievements.
