What is your preparation for the coming FCT polls?

We have been preparing long before now. Our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is on ground and ready to slug it out with our competitors.

We have a very good product as our candidate, talking of the current AMAC Chairman, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu. He has done a very good job for the residents of the AMAC. Thank God, we as a party (APC) didn’t pick a wrong person. The choice that APC made is good to go. The election is going to be very smooth, and we are coming out victorious. That is possible because our party (APC) is on ground, and our flag bearer is the people’s choice. There is no issue, we’re going to win the election.

Are you saying victory is guaranteed?

Yes, of course. I’m 100 per cent sure that we will win the election. By the special grace of God, there is no cause for alarm, it is going to be an easy ride for us. We have a good product to market to the electorates.

Are you saying, the broom is strong enough to sweep the opponents?

Very well. As a party man, I can tell you authoritatively that we are well prepared. Politics is all about strategy. The broom is more than strong to sweep the opponents.

What mechanisms are you putting in place to bring some aggrieved members back to the fold?

Yes, in every contest, there is usually a winner and loser. The party has made its choice in the person of Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu. Those who by one way other not happy, we need to reach them and to talk to them. As leaders, we have been doing that and will continue to do that. We need to work together as a team. We are all one family, and I can assure that the broom is united to sweep all the opponents in the forthcoming FCT Council polls.

What are your plans concerning the rural area dwellers, if your party will the election?

Just as I earlier said, the candidate is very popular. He has done a lot of work in every nook and cranny of AMAC. As a party, we had taken time to look at his performance, and unarguably he is a marketable product to the electorates, which is why we settled for him. He is not new to the electorates, he has touched many lives in rural areas. Even the opposition parties will vote for him. Our candidate has been doing well, he is an experienced politician. He started as a councillor, he is not a man that will come and begin to learn on the job. Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu is good to go.

What is your message for AMAC residents?

They should come out en mass to vote for our candidate. They should continue to cooperate with him and I can assure them that he will not disappoint them. He has been tested and shows he has the capacity to give the electorates the dividends of democracy. They should come out in large number to vote for him, so that he can be back and continue his good work.
