The Chairman of Nyanya Market Association, Comrade Amed Shehu, has called on the government to work out ways to reduce hunger in the land.
Speaking with Nigeria Project, Comrade Shehu said, they are experiencing low patronage as a result of harsh economy.
“The challenge is that patronage has really gone down; it is no longer what it used to be. People struggle to eat food. In such situation, coming to the market to buy things has remained a big challenge.”
He appealed to the leaders at all level to take the welfare of the citizens as priority. According to him, the business owners need a conducive environment for business to thrive.
He appealed to government to come to the rescue of business men/women by finding lasting solution to the lingering economic crisis.
“The hunger in the land is at an alarming stage, those in leadership position should find lasting solutions to take the citizens out of the current economy quagmire,” he said.
