The new Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Paul Ejeh Ogwuche, has assumed duty of his office with a charge to staff of the ministry to embrace teamwork, discipline, and professionalism in delivering quality healthcare to the people.

Addressing staff during his inaugural meeting on Tuesday at the ministry, Dr. Ogwuche pledged to operate an open-door policy that welcomes ideas, innovations, and constructive feedback, while insisting on diligence and zero tolerance for corruption or negligence.

He commended Governor Hyacinth Alia for entrusting him with the responsibility to serve and assured that his leadership would align fully with the governor’s development blueprint for the health sector.

“As your Commissioner, I believe in teamwork, discipline, and accountability. We are all partners in this journey, and I see every one of you as valuable stakeholders in the success story we are about to write,” he said.

The commissioner stressed that no contribution in the ministry was too small, adding that staff at all levels must work together to improve service delivery and complete ongoing projects.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Bistrice Tambo, assured the new commissioner of management’s support, while the Director of Public Health, Mrs. Esther Menge, pledged the commitment of staff to work hard toward achieving the state’s healthcare goals.
